Learn About Aloe Zunic
Aloe is a harpist from central Columbus in Ohio. Music has been a part of their life since the very beginning, as both of their parents are music teachers. Aloe started playing the violin at the age of five and then switched to the harp two years later and has continued playing since. Their first teacher was Jude Mollenhauer, who was the principal harpist of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra.
In high school, Aloe got to experience many different playing opportunities where they continued to grow their love for both classical music and ensemble work. They played with both the Youth Philharmonic of Central Ohio and the Columbus Youth Symphony Orchestras. During all four years of high school, they participated in the South Central Regional Orchestra the Ohio All State Orchestra their last two years.
After graduating, Aloe attended Baldwin Wallace University and studied at the Conservatory with Jody Guinn, who is a member of both the Cleveland Symphony Orchestra and the Akron Symphony Orchestra. During their time there, Aloe also played with all three Conservatory ensembles: Symphonic Band, the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, and Symphony Orchestra.
Over the past eight years, Aloe has had several amazing performance opportunities, ranging from weddings to local youth orchestras to memorial services to musicals.
